Buda, bir peygamber miydi?
""Ve't-tin-i, ve'z-zeytun-i, ve tur-i sinine ve haza'l-beledi'l-emin." (95/1-3)
Digha Nikaya
Majjhima Nikaya
Samyutta Nikaya
Anguttara Nikaya
Khuddaka Nikaya

Was Buddha a prophet?
"Wa-t-tini wa-z-zaytuni wa-turi sinina wa-hadha-l-baladi-l-amin." (95/1-3)
"By the fig, the olive, Mount Sinai, and this secure city!.."
Olive
Gospel of Matthew, 26:30, 36, 39: "After singing a hymn, they went out and headed toward the Mount of Olives... Then Jesus came with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane. He said to his disciples, 'I am going over there to pray; you sit here'... He went a little further, fell face down on the ground, and began to pray..."
Gospel of Luke, 22:39: "Jesus went out and, as was his custom, went to the Mount of Olives." The students followed him as well."
Fig
The Buddha—whose given name was Siddhartha Gautama—lived in Northern India between 563 and 483 BC and advocated a new system of thought that opposed polytheistic beliefs and the caste system (1).
He left the palace where he had lived a life of luxury to begin living in the forest, subsequently withdrawing into seclusion beneath a wild fig tree (Ficus religiosa, Bodhi Tree, Sacred Fig). It is believed that he attained enlightenment there. Following this enlightenment, he began preaching to share the truth with others. Abstaining from lying, killing, stealing, adultery, and the use of alcohol and drugs are among the fundamental precepts of Buddhism.
Is Buddhism a "godless" religion?
The sacred texts of Buddhism are known as the "Tripitaka" and consist of three sections: Vinaya Pitaka, Sutta Pitaka, and Abhidhamma Pitaka.
The Sutta Pitaka contains the Buddha's sermons and constitutes the most important part of the Tripitaka. The Sutta Pitaka comprises five sections:
Digha Nikaya
Majjhima Nikaya
Samyutta Nikaya
Anguttara Nikaya
Khuddaka Nikaya
One of the sections of the Khuddaka Nikaya is the Dhammapada, which has been translated into Turkish under titles such as "The Path of Truth" and "The Path to Perfection" (2). The Dhammapada consists of 26 chapters and 423 verses. In verses 229–230 of Chapter 17 (Anger), a supreme Creator (Brahma) is mentioned; it is stated that a purified person possessing virtue and wisdom will be praised by Brahma. Therefore, it cannot be said that the Buddha lacked a belief in a deity; however... It is also worth noting that, particularly in the Mahayana school of Buddhism, the Buddha himself has been deified and transformed into a figure of worship.
The fact that the Buddha foretold the coming of another Buddha (Maitreya, Metteya) after himself is another noteworthy point in the discussion regarding the "prophethood" of the Buddha (3, 4).
